After I've improved my freedom, retake the % Free Quiz to find out my new higher score.

How to Live % Free

  • Discover how free I am

(how free I am, not how free the monkey is—he's looking in at me through the bars—I'm the one in the cage)

Take a colorful, fun, animal-filled quiz unlike any quiz I've ever experienced to discover the strengths and weaknesses of my freedom and finally find out what % Free I am.

  • Become freer

To fix any weaknesses in my freedom, follow the free simple suggestions on any of 100 freedom topic pages.

    Each topic page features:

    • a giant #hashtag title
    • the Quiz question for that topic
    • a before-and-after slider that reveals dramatic photos of animals that represent the best and worst answers for that question
    • free suggestions for that topic
    • one light and one dark color scheme, each different than any of the other 200 color schemes on this massive website
    • topic-specific merch for inspiration

  • Use my freedom to live a better life

Use my increased freedom to do the things I've always wanted to do.

    Be happier and more successful.

  • Live free every day

Each morning, while drinking my coffee or tea, plan how I will live % Free that day.

For greater effect, drink left-handed to tell my brain I'm doing things differently now.

(The bottom photo on the mug shows a tasselled wobbegong carpet shark, a camouflaged ambush predator that lures its prey by swaying its tail to mimic the movement of a small fish, making it seem safe to come near.)

  • Celebrate freedom and inspire others

Keep the focus on freedom by wearing % Free apparel.

For greater effect, write on my casual clothes (with pens or markers): Yes, really!

    • pledges to improve freedom
    • reminders
    • affirmations
    • inspirational messages
    • freedom accomplishments
    • souvenirs of Freer events
    • messages on gifts that I give

The ultimate goal of % Free is for everyone to live a better life. Is that ambitious enough for me and my friends?

In addition to an outrageous 200 color schemes on topic pages (and on merch), % Free uses two main color schemes on each page:

  • red, white, and blue (in light mode)
  • gold, white, and blue (in dark mode)

To toggle between light mode and dark mode, go to the top-right corner of any page and click on the button that looks like a half moon.

To reveal the best colors for the #percentfree graphic above: in light mode, drag the arrows (line) down; in dark mode, drag the arrows (line) up.
